The flag of Baltinava ethnographical ensemble is made in July 1991.
In light, calm tones is displayed awakening of our region - a bright future,
faith in it. A wreath from ears and oak branches expresses prosperity and

Description: Baltinava (earlier - Suprani) is first mentioned in
historical sources in 1760.
Baltinava ethnographical ensemble has begun its activities of popularization of
Latgalian customs in 1978 under the management of Lūcija Keiša. In 1980 the
ensemble was joined by many new participants and found a new chief -
Antoņina Logina, and received the title of ethnographical ensemble. In 1998
ensemble has been replenished with children and with a small instrumental
Ensemble performs songs and dances of the area. Songs are sung about work,
joint works, weddings, life, calendar rites and others. Songs are performed in
the big voice (a manner of singing).
The ensemble participated in festivals Baltica-91, Baltica-94, Baltica-97,
has performed in Valmiera, Daugavpils, Rezekne, Dagda, Vilani and others places of
Latvia, frequently performes in our district, and especially - in our parish.
